which magazines should a newly minted PS2 user (albeit one coming in on the tail end of the PS2's life cycle) be reading, particularly if he wants the sorts of demo disks which will actually be useful?

I find official Playstation magazine to be the best (UK) as its abit pricey @ £6.99 however its the only one we get with playable demo's.

Thats right thats the only with demo discs. I like it but personally i don't think it's the best one.
I really love Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM). They're kinda crazy sometimes but it's the best on in my opinion.
