Opinion: I think a lot of people will want it.

Fact: I want it! :)

The price will obviously divide people, but i think that it's not much for an entertainment system that could dominate your world for 5 years straight. As for the games, they will surely be great, at least Crytek has already caught my eye. Then there is the Blu-ray, i wouldn't wanna go too much on judging or praising the system, time will tell will it hit it big (personal opinion: it sounds just fine), but it holds plenty of capacity which is a damn good thing for upcoming games and media. I bet all of you have seen the growth in size of games.

So when are we gonna get an offical ps3 discussion in the forum

Good thread I agree about the new ps3 forum being made.

I think siggy summed it up nicely.I want one and it will probably be a great system.As far as bluray I'm not crazy about it for movies at least until it becomes the standard(if it does)but the games being that big with the hd capabilities not offered by dvd is exicting to think about.

The price is expensive for average consumers but for tech oriented people who know what's under the hood it's fairly modest.I'm curious to see how it plays out,My feeling is that it won't make much difference but who knows right?

Well if people see the real value of it then there should be no sales problems of sony at all

lol. that just couldn't happen to me or anyone i know. All you have to do is wait a little and sony will restock retailers. DUH

Yea I won't be getting one on ebay.I actually prefer to wait so they can work the kinks out.I would like to get the third batch rather than the first.
