After reading the review on the games Xbox version by d0gi, I wonder if the "rubber band AI" is really that annoying, as I've found it pretty bad solution for creating more challenging races in several racing games. Can it be turned off? Is the opponents' AI adjustable and how does this "rubber band AI" react to this?

I haven't got FlaOut 2 yet, and would like to hear your opinion on the game and its gameplay. And for those FlaOut 2 gamers out there who have tried the game on the PC, does it differ a lot from the Xbox version?

The commonly used AI in racing games which prevents the AI opponents from dropping too much behind or getting a too big lead. It regulates the speed of AI cars which means that if they are behind they will accelerate to get closer to human player, and when they are in a big lead, the speed will decrease so it's easier for human player to overcome.

Correct if I'm off with the definition. :)

Flatout 2 has 100% better cars but if you like driving freely like roaming then flat out 1 is best for you.
